Honor Guard
For decades, Post 340’s Honor/Color Guard has proudly honored the flag, our fallen, and our nation’s veterans through precise, dignified ceremonial service. We provide and participate in rifle lines, presentation of colors, flag retirement ceremonies, parades, military funerals, and support for veteran-related holidays such as Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Every detail is handled with professionalism, respect, and adherence to tradition. Whether for a public event or a private service, our Honor Guard stands ready to serve.
Note: Many functions require a minimum level of manning in order to perform them properly. If a request is denied, it’s almost certainly due to that level not being available. The Post doesn’t do things by halves, so please understand that it is never our desire to refuse a request, and we are always looking for new Honor Guard members!

Flag Retirement
Our Post provides a respectful flag retirement service for worn or unserviceable U.S. flags. A flag retirement box is available for the public to deposit flags that are no longer fit for display. Collected flags are retired in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code. This service ensures every flag is handled properly and with the honor it deserves.
Box location: Between 1600 & 1634 W Main St. in Waynesboro. There is a large parking lot at 1600 W Main St. from which you can park and walk to the box safely.
